My name is Chrys, and I am the owner and operator of Blondies Beverages. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to own and operate a coffee café, and for the past 25 years, I have worked toward making that dream a reality.

 

Being a single mother of two for 21 years, and recently married, required me to put my entrepreneurial dream on hold while I focused on raising and providing for my family. Although the dream never disappeared, life circumstances forced me to ultimately rethink how I could make my dream a reality. Rather than giving up on my vision, I found a new path forward—one that transformed my original dream of owning a traditional brick-and-mortar café into a flexible, mobile business that allows me to pursue my passion while continuing to serve my family and community.

 

Step by step, Blondies Beverages will grow from a lemonade and specialty beverage business into a fully equipped mobile beverage trailer. The business will begin by offering fresh lemonade and specialty drinks at farmer’s markets, community events, and local gatherings. As the business establishes its customer base and generates revenue, it will expand its offerings to include hot cocoa and handcrafted coffee. Ultimately, Blondies Beverages will transition into a mobile lemonade, hot cocoa, and coffee trailer, creating a year-round beverage experience that can serve customers at events, businesses, community gatherings, and other high-traffic locations.

 

This business is more than a source of income for me; it represents years of perseverance, hard work, and determination. Blondies Beverages is the result of a dream that I refused to give up on, even when life required me to put that dream on hold.

 

One of my greatest hopes is to create meaningful opportunities for both of my daughters to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. My oldest daughter, who has special needs, will have the opportunity to contribute in ways that recognize her strengths, abilities, and interests. My youngest daughter, who is beginning her journey into adulthood, will also have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop workplace skills.

 

More importantly, I want both of my daughters to experience a sense of purpose, accomplishment, responsibility, and pride. I want them to see that their contributions matter and that they can be an important part of something we have built together as a family. Blondies Beverages is not simply a business—it is an opportunity to create a legacy of hard work, inclusion, independence, and family while showing my daughters that dreams can be delayed, redesigned, and still become reality.
